Materials: Gallon container filled with H2O
1 Tbsp Glycerin
2/3 cup of dawn or joy

How are your bubble making skills?
Students will find the diameter of a bubble print.
1. First predict the size of bubble you will make.
2. Do four trials and record each diameter.
3. Answer, What do you think helps to make a BIG bubble?
 (List three variables)

Intermediate students listened to Sorry Wrong Number is  a suspenseful play. A woman accidentally overheard a conversation of a murder plot. She frantically tries to prevent the murder.

Mentor Text: Student's listened to Frank's adventure.  The book takes a trip through history. They encounter dinosaur and human skeletons, woolly mammoths (Yes, they had mammoths in Alaska!) primitive man, and mummies.

Writing Race

Writing Race and looks like they are winning!

The Intermediate Class was having a writing race with Mrs. Brooks.

• Ben wrote about, "When I got lost in Seattle."
• Caden wrote about." The time we caught a Killer Whale in the net." 
• I was writing about my Seal Rock camping trip.

We began by writing ideas on a  Table of Content page. See the list below.

Students now began recording their stories. Caden highlighted places to show excitement.  He noticed it was way better than the first recording. 

Ben hightlighted the parts when he was lost and the excitement part. When he read it again, it sounded so much better.
